Berikut ini adalah daftar seniman-seniman yang memiliki unsur Rock and Roll. Seniman-seniman yang tidak memiliki unsur itu atau mereka yang benar-benar bermain di alunan Pop, bisa dilihat di kiriman berikutnya.
Unsur ini terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu seniman-seniman Pop tapi ada tembang-tembang dengan unsur semacam itu (misalnya Bonnie Tyler, Dan Byrd, Richard Marx, dan lain-lain), seniman-seniman dimana beberapa pengamat cukup kesulitan untuk menebak sebenarnya mereka bermain di alunan apa (misalnya Chicago, Maroon 5, Toto, dan lain-lain), dan seniman-seniman yang jelas memiliki unsur ini di dalam tembang-tembang mereka (misalnya Alice in Chains, Queen, Warrant, dan lain-lain).
Pada tahun 1950-an, istilah "Rock and Roll" mulai menjadi semacam trending topic pada waktu itu seiring dengan hadirnya Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Bo Diddley, dan lain-lain.
Kemudian, pada tahun 1960-an, terjadi British Invasion yang digelar oleh band-band dari Inggris misalnya The Beatles.
